Beginner Pistol Course: is designed as an introductory class to pistol ownership and employment. This class will build a user’s confidence in owning, caring for, carrying, and usage of their pistol. While created for the first-time gun owner, this course acts as the foundation for Iron County Tactical follow on course, Advanced Pistol Course. Mindset, equipment selection and wear, body mechanics, creating neuropathways, and economy of motion all start with this course which makes it a great refresher on fundamentals for those shooters with a little more experience.

Prerequisites:

None – Open to all military, law enforcement, and responsible US citizens.

Minimum Equipment:

• A quality semi-automatic pistol

• 100 rounds of quality factory ammunition

• Three magazines

• Magazine carrier

• Outside the waistband (OWB) holster

• Hearing protection (Electronic preferred)

• Eye protection

Recommended Equipment:

• Water

• Sunscreen

• Hat

• Folding chair

• Weather/environmental appropriate clothing

Administration:

• Course will be approximately four hours

• Please arrive early from the designated start time to set up your equipment

• Once course is purchased, you are enrolled
